Aerus

The Beyond Guardian Air uses an exclusive combination of technologies thattogether are more effective than a HEPA filter alone. Our proprietary waterproof, polypropylene filter captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.1 micron, performing at filtration levels better than HEPA which captures particles 0.3micron in size. Also, ion generation ensures particulates are removed while a carbon layer pre-filter absorbs odors and gases. Additionally, UVC light is agermicidal lamp and ActivePure®Technology destroys over 99% of contaminants in the air and on surfaces, effectively purifying the entire space.

The particle count reading should be less than 1 in order to meet EPA guidelines, which is virtually impossible to achieve outside of a clean room. Our ActivePure Technology will get you close.

No, ActivePure Technology is not dangerous. Furthermore, this unit is ozone-free and does not cause harm. Our products are specifically engineered to purify indoor living environments. Long-term side effects of living in cleaner spaces and being protected from exposure to harmful contaminants should be beneficial. In fact, our customers have reported many life-changing benefits including improved health, productivity, and well-being.

Yes, ActivePure Technology is safe for everyone. It operates safely with or without the presence of people, babies, or pets, and for long periods of time.

Generally, the Beyond Guardian Air should be placed in the highest usage area, like a family room with regular traffic and open air spaces. For best results, run the unit 24/7. However, turning the unit off periodically is recommended as it allows the motor to rest.

Yes. Open windows promote the passage of outside contaminants into your home, compromising the level of air quality and purification the Beyond Guardian Air works to create and maintain. It is recommended to turn the unit off while windows are left open.

Winix

Winix Air Purifiers are independently rated for a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) https://ahamverifide.org/directory-of-air-cleaners/. An optimal room size is recommended by AHAM for all machines. Winix adheres to these AHAM ratings. However, we also state our recommended maximum room size for certain machines where it is helpful. Not all manufacturers adhere to AHAM.

Allergies affect every person differently. Although Winix air purifiers are very effective at removing a myriad of contaminants from the air in your home, it is impossible for us to anticipate everyone’s environment and medical condition. We use safe and effective technologies that are capable of bringing you the best in-home air quality we can offer. If you suffer from allergies – we sincerely hope that our product helps you breathe easy.

One of the essential features of Winix air purifiers is the use of intelligent sensors that detect the actual state of the ambient air and accordingly regulate the fan speed.

Winix reminds you when your filters need to be replaced and have run out of capacity. Replacement every 12 months is recommended, but this period is relative and is based on how polluted the environment in which the device is used is.

Please see your guide.

If you have a purifier that uses a Carbon filter, a PE-filter (grid) filter, and a True HEPA filter, you must first place the True HEPA filter in the purifier, followed by a Carbon filter, and finally a PER-filter (grid).

For your convenience, each filter is numbered at the top so that there is no doubt about the arrangement and cleaning.

Each model has a PRE-filter (grille or textile), which is cleaned every 10 days of the largest particles with a vacuum cleaner, and the textile can be washed. For other filters, please read the instructions for use to find out the frequency of replacement.

We recommend doing so because your air purifier uses smart sensors to adjust the fan speed, it will never use more energy than is necessary to maintain a healthy, comfortable environment. By leaving your unit running it will continuously be drawing in the room air and filtering impurities. Our air purifiers have light sensors that adjust the fan speed according to day and night, putting the air purifier into a low-light sleep mode in the dark.

As a general rule, place your Winix air purifier where it can have the best air flow. This means it needs to be placed slightly away from the wall and furniture. Be sure to place your Winix air purifier wherever you are going to spend the most amount of time (such as your living room or family room), or where you have the most concern about odors or allergens (such as in your kitchen or where your pets are), or where it helps you the most (such as in your bedroom when you are sleeping).

Don’t worry. Sometimes when the unit is new, the materials from the filter can “outgas” when they are first used. Leave the unit running for a day or so and it should clear up. If you are concerned about this, leave the unit running on high in a separate room during this period…it should clear up overnight.

Sometimes when the room is very quiet, you may hear a slight buzz or “electric hum” from the PlasmaWave® generator inside of the unit. This is nothing to worry about. The PlasmaWave® generator uses electricity to create a strong corona discharge causing it to occasionally make a slight noise. It’s working properly to clean the air.

Our True-HEPA Filtration is excellent for reducing 99.97% of respiratory irritants and pollutants down to 0.3 microns in size. This includes: Allergens, pollen, mold spores, dust, pet dander and bacteria.

PlasmaWave® Technology safely breaks apart odors, allergens, chemical vapors, and other pollutants at the molecular level, without causing harmful ozone. PlasmaWave® creates positive and negative ions that combine with natural water vapor to form hydroxyls, which cleans the indoor air. Winix Air Purifiers are tested and certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to be well within very safe emission levels. CARB EO reference numbers are available on request.

You won’t have to worry about constantly adjusting your air purifier. The Air Quality Sensor allows for you to set your air purifier to Auto-Mode and will automatically adjust the cleaning power for optimal performance; working hard when you need it and saving energy when you don’t.
